Acnes

Acne is formed by a collection of sebum (oil), bacteria and dead cells trapped in the lining of the hair follicle (skin pore). Acne is not purely a teenage predicament, 20 to 40% of the adults in all skin colors do encounter problems with acne. It is not a life threatening disease, however, it causes skin scars and devastates long term psychic trauma such as poor self-image, social inhibition, anxiety and even depression. Acne is difficult to be recovered as it may not be a one factor problem, it could also be caused by many mixed factors.

  • Sleep early and wake up early. The best sleeping period for skin repair and maintenance is from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Take more rest and remain positive mood
  • Expose less to toxic and polluted environments
  • Do not cover your forehead with bangs for the sake of hiding the acne
  • Regular exercise 
  • Try not to touch your face and chin with unwashed hands
  • Change and wash clothes and bedding frequently
  • If your acne is on your back, shoulders or chest try wearing loose clothing
